Reilly’s Raiders Blast Bonbeach off The Map And Go Straight To The Grand Final…Way To Go !!
Two of the boys dropped from last weeks senior side and who were instrumental in the Reserves win.. Zannon Daff providing that edge of experience and total commitment in the tight clinches that wins matches and Grover who not only beat his man but roamed the whole backline picking up kicks at will for a superb B on G display..

I trundled down to Frankston Park last Sunday just a dawn appeared to break and the Grandstand Residents headed off for an early morning snifter at the foreshore. This was to be my first view of them in action this year due to First XVIII respites and I was keen to see what some football aficionados had been touting as a Premiership contender.
Bonbeach had been our proverbial fly in the ointment , taking away a certain Premiership in 2006 by beating us in the 1st semi by 19 pt, and overcoming a 4 goal last Q lead in 2007 to take out the flag against the odds and ………. persistently beating us in Home and aways.
Not so this time !!

The first Q was all YCW as backs and forwards applied pressure and them to 1 goal while pumping away a useful lead 3.3.21 to 1.0.6.
Another player chopped from the ones , Ando began to show the form we all know he is capable of. !!

I was really impressed with Reilly’s boys, as they continued on to take out the semi and slip in to the Grand Final by demolishing Bon Beach 11.7.73 to 4.4 28.. my best Grover , also Leary, Jessie and the Blick…I’m excited !!
