Steve Reidy had taken full opportunity of the weeks break offered by the 2nd Semi Final win and had fine tuned his Magoo’s to make it pay backtime for the pain inflicted on our Magoo’s over the last few years. With experienced Senior players in Hackett, Daniel Anderson, Sam Reddaway, The Grover and Daniel LaFontaine ,the Coach was confident of stretching the Shark Machine to breaking point particularly since we had wiped the floor with them twice previously..

Kicking with the wind the sharks were able to to take the sharks in to the short break with a handy 10 point lead made sustainable by their poor kicking which produced 0nly 2 goals from 7 shots 2.5 to 1.1

Bon Beach continued their slight ascendancy by going into half time with a six point lead 4.6 to 3.6 and to the Orange break with a solid 9 point lead 5.9 to 4.7.

The last Q and all to play for, kicked the Q off with Marcus Roberts taking a ball out of the centre and kicking to Full Forward were Chris Barker in the goal square and converted from the goal line 5.9 to 5.7 and getting closer.. Just 3 min on Ben Buckley took a mark straight in front just inside the 50 m line and sunk it to brink us in front 6.9 to 5.7. Josh was taking everything from the ruck giving the forwards every chance and 11 min in Chris Barker got a chance in the forward line thanks to some solid work by Hackett and Crouch 7.7 to 5.9.
Our fitness and skills were begging to take their toll on Bonbeach and as the Q ran out it seemed The Sharks had no answer to Reidys Coaching, 24 min in Ryley Hodson got the ball in the pocket , 20 m out and goaled on the run…8.7 to 5.9 and the game won !!!!!
As the game ran out Josh took advantage of a spilled ball in the goal square and ran in and toe poked the final goal to a great win 8.12. 60 to 6.9.45
My best Josh in the Ruck followed by Strico and Ryley Hodson plus all the Team !!! One to Remember !!!
