The day started with the worst weather we had had for the season, freezing cold, Icy wind, waterlogged ground and a foot of mud in the centre, and as the day wore on it just got worse and worse for the Karingal Bulls.
Mathers Maulers ensured that there were going to be no 4th of July celebrations for the Karingal Dewcutters by taking over the party, supplying the fireworks themselves and taking all the cake with a 17.20.122 to 1.2.8 belting..Talk about party poopers !! Best Woody and Smerf Smrdel and Nada with 4 goals

Schneiders Super Seconds also defused any celebtations the Bull Magoos may have hoped for by keeping them to a solitary goal at the Orange beak and a 6 goal lead. Karingal tried to light a few fireworks in the last Q but the fuzes were wet and the game finished in a splutter 6.10.46 to 3.2.20. Best on show were Darren Mizzi (who was that guy??), Twiggy, Dale and Trent with Chappy picking up another 3.
The seniors had the worst of the weather and conditions with hypothermia a real threat to anyone who got themselves stuck in the mud but the Stonecats refused to lower the flag and kicked 6.2 in the 1st Q for a 5 goal lead which they held throughout going to the showers a clear winner 14.8.92 to 7.4.46.
Best on show were a very Panda like Bundy, a soaking wet Tony Lester, a saturated Stevey ,a shrunken BT and a mud caked Benny Poole…oh what a day!!
