Kolts v Langy at Home

15th August Round 17 Kolts v Langy. Weather Fine !!

Langy Home 2009 156

Jarred Hatton kicks to a lead

Kenters Kolts went in to the last game on top of the ladder, after a much disjointed season with teams exiting, forfeiting, and coming undermanned and Kenter Klan are to be congratulated on sticking in there and flying the YCW Flag thru thick and thin and finishing with only one loss.

At half time it looked like they were certainly going to go down for a second time for the season against 2nd placed Langy Kolts going in 6 goals down 8.2.50 to 2.5.17 and not much to look forward to.

Langy Home 2009 173

Josh Buxton

After 1/2 time however, the boys came out a different side and showed great commitment and team spirit to overun langy in the 3rd to kick 7goals 3 to Langy zip and go to the oranges 11 pts up.

The final Q was hard fought with Langy closing the gap but the boys held on tenaciously and finished 4 pts up 10.10.70.to 10.6.66 Good players aplenty but I liked Andrew Hodge with his 5 match winning goals in the last half, Mitch Hessling and Josh Buxton in defense and little Angus Booth who was everywhere.

This Friday we do it all again at Seaford in the 2nd Semi..See U there 8.15 kickoff.

Also congrats to Andy for taking out the Goalkicking with 48 goals for the season, in his 11 games….
