13th June Round 8 v The Kangaroos at the Roo Pit. Weather Bleak and getting Bleaker
The Duck takes out the Mouse in the very even 1st Q with a 5 goal each scoreline
Playing 8th placed Langwarrin, Bugs Battlers found the going hard in the first half against a determined Roo unit and went in to the long break 1 goal down with only some strong defence by Jie, Dougy and Dylan stopping the floodgates opening.

The 3rd Q ended on a knife edge with the Roos increasing their lead to 2 goals due to strong forward play by Brad Wakling and Danny Wehner.

The last Q went in to free fall with Wakeling going beresk to kick 3 more to finish with 7, and with Moore and Brown kicking singles to finish with 3 each and leaving us with the white flag up and flapping to go down an inglorious 16.9.105 to 11.8.74, beaten by the tenacity of Wakeling, the Wehners, Michie, Casper, Paterson and O`Shea and the astute coaching of Gavin Artico !!
Steve Meagher pulls in one from Brad Ulms. Steve who held his own in the ruck was my best for the day !!
All in all a thoroughly disappointing day, only brightened by the form of Jie, Tony L and Stevey M and hard fought wins by Schneider`s Seconds and Mather`s Marvels
