ABOUT

An extremely tough and attacking defender willing to back his judgment and provide an avenue of attack for the forwards Dale debuted in 2000 taking over the role of backline enforcer from Damien Hardstone who had held that position since 1989.

Surprisingly fast and agile, he has been working his magic in the back pocket for the last 5 years and looks like staying on for quite some time yet. Played solid games, locking out opposition rovers in the 2001 Reserve and 2003 Senior Premiership sides. Son of long term YCW Committee members Chris and Col…..What I said in 2005 !

Had a solid year in 2006 missing early games due to leg injuries but came home strong to play in the pocket in the semi final and finish just 8 games away from his 100.. Will be looking to get to this milestone in the early part of 2007 and will add extra solidity to an already top class backline..My thought of 2006.

Took a while to get going under new Coach Barry but broke back in to the Seniors in Rnd 5 and went on to play the rest of the H&As and the finals in his favoured position. Reached the magic ton of games in the 13th round vs Pines finishing the season on 108..

Had a good consistent year, winning the Coaches Award in the bargain, and with Kiely and Wadell formed a formidable unit which produced the best defencive record of the Comp with only 926 pts kicked against them, nearly 200 pts less than the next best team..Seaford
