Played his Junior football with Somerville Football Club and the Dandenong Stingrays squad in 1994,1995 ,1966 , playing in the Teal Cup and National Championships in1994/1995 .

Was picked up by the Collingwood Football Club in the 1996 draft and placed on their Supplementary/Rookie list. Recruited by Frankston Dolphins in 1997 and played in their 1997 Reserve premiership side, playing a total of 92 Senior games, before joining YCW in 2004.

Assistant Coach of the senior team and itsVice Captain, Daniel plays on the wing or forward flank and is always dangerous with his use of the ball from these positions He possesses great poise and balance whether kicking,marking or contesting the ball and is a beautiful long kick ,particularly on the run . His delivery and accuracy with either foot or hand are a delight to watch. Reads the play as only one with his football experience would . A totally polished footballer, 2006 promises to be another great year for Daniel…….What I said in 2005!

Proved to be a major contributor in our 2006 campaign, providing along with Webbo, great drive out of the centre and a sure avenue of attack..reached his 50th game during the season…2007 will again see Ando working his magic on the wing, providing Stonecat supporters with his own special brand of flair and again having a major influence on our success…..will burn..   I said that 2007 preseason !!!!

Certainly did..went off like a house on fire in the first half of the season picking up enough votes to run in fourth in the club B&F without picking up another vote in the back half. A major ball getter for the club he topped the list with an average of 20 possessions per game and bagged 17 goals in a year he was constantly tagged by the opposition, which at times prevented him playing to his maximum potential.

But this didnt stop him running 9th in the MPNFL B&F and being picked in the Leagues Team of The Year……Hopefully more of the same in 2008 !!
