ABOUT

Starting his football career with P&C Juniors, Zannon was picked in the 1998 Stingrays Squad, playing a full season, and then made the Frankston Dolphins Squad. He played 69 senior games with them from 1999 to 2002 being before being recruited for us in 2003 by Boulder, the man with the silver tongue. A tough no frills defender whom likes playing low to the ground, he is impossible to shift out of position due to his upper body strength…and short legs!!!!

This ability has meant a career change for him, as he was picked at full forward in the 2005 Grand final (after playing back pocket in the prelim) with great success and has continued this on in to 2006 with 8 goals in the first three games. A great clubman, Zannon missed the majority of 2003 due to a broken leg..but never missed a training night at the Club or the finals.. A professional example to all.!! What I said in 2005 !

Started 2006 at full forward against Mt Eliza with a B on G and stayed for the first 3 games before migrating back to the backline. Had occasional forays up forward and ended up with a creditable 17goals for the season, but his main value to the team was in keeping opposition flankers kick-less and scoreless…a true utility player!!

Has had a solid preseason and practice series and for a change is injury free. Certainly wont be required to fill a full forward roll this year and will find himself permanently down back….ooh the image !!

In 2007 under Bugs Barry he continued his multi faceted role playing in the centre with stints at half back as well as up forward kicking 8 goals in the process. Had an excellent year despite concerns about his pace, picking up B&F votes in 10 of the rounds and finishing 7th on the ladder. Suffered a slight hamstring tear in the preliminary final and opted not to play in the senior grand final instead playing in the reserve GF where he played a great game in the centre unaffected by his injury . His experience and backline strength was sadly missed by the senior side who had no answer to Seaford’s forwards..
