Seaford Away 2010

Weather Fine… Stonecats vs Seaford at the Lair- Temp Freezing…for the Tigers !!

A Seaford convert,Buzzys Boy and Kevin Lylak all recon that’s a scoreboard worth keeping

My post on Friday 16th..`

“Bugs and Mather’s have put there heads together and come up with a cracker jack side for Saturday and the senior team has been selected with five players having their first senior game with us. Congratulations to Ash Eames, Lewis Roberts, Rhys Johnson, Andrew Knights and Mathew Gibbs with a return of  Byron Barry to the fold after 3 years and Locky Wallace on leave from the Stingrays…..Its payback time.. get down to Seaford and support the boys against the forces of evil !!       I`m no expert but I  think our always steady backline, ruck strength and superior fitness and will to win, will tell in the end..”

How right I was .. I know it couldn’t be any earlier in the season but I will put my neck out and say that this side looks like the real deal and I`m excited.  We may have been a bit like a one trick pony in the past but on Saturdays game it looks like we now have many more tricks up our sleeves !!  Great to see the Equalizer take control of the ruck against Seaford and splatter the opposition, (a feat not done in many a year) an also take out the 3RRR  award for best on ground.

Keily about to make a big hit on …

Apart from Ash I was impressed with  Dougy who kept Kraska scoreless, Ducky who made a mess of  Marsh ( scoreless!!), Steve Roberts, the Bundies, with a great first up from Lew Roberts.

And they were Kung Foo fighting !!!!

Also Chappy who keeps the goals ticking along and Locky Wallace who will be sorely missed… and Kraska for giving me the best laugh I have had in years ……check out the fotos !!!
