Mouse takes a strong mark despite the attentions of the Bonbeach pack

Saturday started of well with the word filtering thru from the Stonecave that Kenters Kolts had a kolossal win over St Johns courtesy of a five goal 1st Q and a 3 goal last to finish going away with a 20 pt win.

Dennis, Adam, Jessie, Joshua and Trent all got two twin Calico’s to keep The Machine rumbling forward..Next week its The Lakes at home to try and back up against their 1st rd 40 pt loss, and a chance for us to make sure everything is well oiled and bolts tite before our trip away to meet equal top of the ladder side Narre Warren in the game of the year…

Mr Hackett getting his usual treatment from the backmen, this time Danny Ades, who failed to stop him bagging another 6 majors and move to 6th on the table… while Kyle Hutch gets similar treatment from Sam Rouette

Mathers Marvels were less than marvelous in scrapping home against cellar dweller Bonny who led from the coin toss to the orange break and looked like they would take the 4 points until a last min fightback and a 4 goal last term turned the tide and left the Sharks floundering.. Definitely not a good sign against a side we beat by 80 pts first time around as the finals begin to loom  !!!!!

Mouse in the air again, this time up against Jarred Eames while Scott Ablett and Matt Johnson wait for a spill..

Beaten by Bonbeach by 5 points in the first round, a win against the 2nd placed side this time around was a must if we where to remain in the hunt for the Finals. With the debut of Ando in his 1st ever reserve game and Zannon Daff in his first game back since last years GF, hopes were high that this time around the tables would be reversed.. and that’s how it turned out..

Ando with an incredible 18 possessions in the first Q set the tone and with Beasa on fire with 5 majors, and ,Bucky, Webby and Kyle taking the opposition apart the sharks were only able to interest the scorers once after 1/2 time while the twin calicoes fluttered 8 times for Sean’s Magoo’s playing all over our nemesis, to finish 57 pts in front..best win of the  season…!!

Another specky, another goal courtesy of the `main man`Benny Hackett who is just going from strength to strength now that his forward feeds are giving him good ball and acres and acres of space….Mouse and Rinaldi make perfect position !!

After our great wins against Seaford and Eady the Fans and Supporters expected great things from Bugs Boys against the bottom feeding Sharks and they were not let down with an awesome 7 goal to 1pt first Q which effectively sealed the game in the first 20 mins.

In our best 1st half of the season we tore away to lead by 60 pts at the long break.. After a brief dream time break in the premiership Q the boys roared home in the last with another 5 goal burst for a 54 pt win courtesy of more goals from the Maestro and the Mouse

Jie Cogo breaks away to put the ball in to attack while Kyle Hutch follows up to put the Sheppard on if needed !!

In what was a cold and miserable day apart from the quady of wins, the players who I thought showed out  and kept the fans warm,  were Benny Hackett with 6 goals, a couple laid off and 3 or 4 he should have got…Mouse with another 3 and adding some muscle in to the tram tracks and Charley M and The Rinaldi for decimating Bonny’s Rucks…but I’m no expert !!

Next week Karingal and a chance to consolidate or drop out of the 4 !!
